Water Purification Systems
Brackish Water Purifiers
The
system pictured here supplies over 2 million gallons (over 7,500 M3) per day
of high quality, low TDS drinking water to a city from a brackish well
source. GET manufactures brackish water purifiers from 1 ton (264
gallons) per day to hundreds of thousands of tons (many millions of gallons)
per day. Brackish water systems treat water containing TDS (Total Dissolved
Solids) content of from 2,000 to 15,000 PPM (Parts per Million). Water
sources containing more than 15,000 PPM TDS are treated using GET SW
(Seawater) Desalination systems.
GET offers these systems in various levels
to meet the budgetary requirements and engineering standards of customers in
every situation around the world. From simple, manually operated systems to
sophisticated computer operated systems; GET provides the entire range to
meet your needs. Some brackish water sources contain water that is
relatively free of TSS (Total Suspended Solids). This minimizes the need for
extensive pretreatment, and keeps the capital outlay lower. Other sources
may contain heavy quantities of solids. GET provides quality pretreatment to
remove these solids prior to membrane treatment. As with other GET
equipment, various levels of sophistication and automation are available to
meet local requirements.
This 76
M3 (20,000 US Gallons) per day brackish water system is typical
of smaller premium quality brackish water purification systems that may be
needed by small towns or villages. This system is set up for fully automatic
operation, with a paging system to notify the operator when filters need
changed or other service needs to be done.

This 113 M3 (30,000 US
Gallons) per day comprehensive brackish water treatment system includes
multiple stages of treatment including activated carbon & cartridge
prefiltration, reverse osmosis purification, carbon block and ozone post
treatment and re-pressurization, for all-in-one plug & play simplicity.
Premium quality potable water is produced by this automated, PLC controlled
system.
Surface Water Treatment Systems

The hollow
fiber UF membrane pictured here is used to remove turbidity, color, and
pathogens from surface water sources that do not require reduction of
dissolved solids. Assured 99.99% removal of bacteria, viruses, and cysts is
accomplished to provide reliable, automated, economical potable water
production from surface water sources. The Pilot system pictured is used to
collect data prior to large system installation to ensure optimum results by
fine tuning chemical dosing & recovery rates.

Installed
systems of this type use banks of hollow fiber membranes as pictured here.
Frames are usually constructed of stainless steel for a lifetime of quality
service. Piping may be constructed of stainless steel as pictured here or of
PVC. These systems are controlled automatically by means of sophisticated
PLCs with comprehensive programming that monitors and actuates all necessary
system functions except for refilling or replacement of chemical tanks,
which are announced by means of alarms.
This
pictured system has been designed with multiple stages of treatment to
provide comprehensive purification for surface water requiring removal of
sediment, color, pathogens, organics, chemicals, and dissolved solids. In
addition, the post carbon block filter enhances taste & odor, and the
integral tank & repressurization system, all in a stainless steel frame,
makes for a complete plug & play package for small towns & villages with
surface water sources including rivers, lakes, swamps & ponds. The system is
fully automated except for manual cartridge changes, and produces the
required capacity of premium quality, good tasting, sterilized potable
water, starting as small as 3-4 M3/ Day.
Seawater Desalinators
GET,
Inc. manufactures a full line of seawater desalinators for any capacity
municipal application. The SWL series is designed for continuous service in
land-based applications where quality and dependable performance are highly
valued. Although these systems may cost more initially than some
competitors’ systems, the longer life, reliability, and faithful performance
mean that they cost far less in the long run. Reduced down-time and lower
operating costs more than offset any initial difference in price. GET
systems are available in nearly every price range.
These SWL systems are
available in standard or custom designs to produce potable water from
virtually any seawater source, from 1 ton (264 US Gallons) to 2,000,000 tons
(over 500 Million US Gallons) per day. Standard or custom designs are
available throughout the range. GET builds these systems using efficient
centrifugal pumps for minimal maintenance. Standard train sizes are normally
employed for much faster than usual delivery,
ease of maintenance, ready availability of parts, very high percentage of
uptime, and the fastest quoting and customer support in the business.
Centralized PLC controls with remote monitoring and control capability on
many models enable GET to provide immediate on-site support. Automated &
redundant filtration on most models provide for continuous operation, even
during filter cartridge changes.

GET SWL systems are designed to produce
healthful water exceeding WHO drinking water standards and to provide many
years of reliable service. Systems utilize state-of-the-art energy recovery
devices to meet customers’ requirements for energy efficiency, optimum
capital cost and the lowest long term cost of ownership. Choose from
several levels of quality and sophistication. Smaller systems such as the
one shown below can be installed in isolated villages for a reliable supply
of healthful potable water from available sea water. GET will optimize a
system for your requirements. Contact GET, Inc. or our local representative
for a customized, reliable, high quality solution to your potable water
requirements.
