SW Desalinators, SWL Series, 50-700,000 M3
Systems, Levels I-IV GET offers four levels of seawater desalinators, to accommodate a broad range of budgetary and performance requirements. All levels of equipment include pretreatment including prefiltration and chemical injection, quality, highly efficient high pressure pumping assembly, safety guards on all moving parts, necessary operating controls, high quality membrane separation technology, TDS monitor and post treatment of chlorine injection to assure safe drinking water. Ultra-Violet or Ozone sterilization is optional. Materials of construction are suitable for seawater service, food rated components and materials are used in all product water piping. All levels also include a programmable controller for automated operation of key system functions. Level I is the lowest priced equipment, due to its lower cost components, basic instrumentation, manual controls, and single-stage 5-Micron filtration running at the usual industry ratings. Membranes and pumps are run more aggressively. No membrane cleaning system is included. Pressure gauges are 2-1/2" high quality brass internals, stainless steel case, glycerin-filled. Piping, skid fabrication, wiring, mechanical equipment, fasteners, etc., are all at Level I (basic) standards. Electrical enclosure standard: NEMA 1. Pressure vessels have 316 SS pressure ports and are painted. Some fasteners and brackets are plated or painted steel, but most fasteners are stainless steel. Skids are protected from corrosion by good quality paint, or on smaller systems by powder coating. Level II equipment includes higher quality components, higher quality digital instrumentation, and semi-automation on key system functions. Filtration is oversized, two stage 20 & 5 Micron. A manual membrane cleaning system, utilizing a separate cleaning pump or an existing system pump, is included. Pressure gauges are high quality 2-1/2" all 316 SS, glycerin-filled. Piping, skid fabrication, wiring, fasteners, etc., are all upgraded to Level II standards. Electrical enclosure standard: NEMA 4x. Pressure vessels have Titanium or Duplex SS pressure ports and a high gloss permanent gel-coat. All fasteners are stainless steel. Skids are protected from corrosion by premium quality two-part epoxy paint or powder coating. Level III includes the enhanced features of Level II, components are further upgraded, additional instrumentation and safety shutdowns are included, and the system is fully automated except for the membrane cleaning system (using a separate cleaning pump) which is semi-automated. The filtration is two-stage, double capacity for uninterrupted operation. Some models also include automatic self-cleaning 25 micron filters. Piping, skid fabrication, wiring, fasteners, etc., are all upgraded to Level III standards. Electrical enclosure standard: NEMA 4X and/or NEMA 6. Performance warranties are available with Level III equipment. Level IV includes the advantages of Level III. Additional features include: digital pressure readouts and additional instrumentation and safety shutdowns, including low voltage protection, and protection from operation without the pretreatment agents. A special feature of this Level is a computer system with data acquisition, scheduled printouts, and a modem that permits GET engineers to access the system operating computer to evaluate the operating parameters and make any needed adjustments or initiate any recommended maintenance procedures. This feature also permits remote monitoring of the system from any site the customer wishes. Performance warranties are available with Level IV equipment. Electrical enclosure standard: NEMA 4X and/or NEMA 6. Fully automated membrane cleaning system.
Optional equipment for all levels includes: Submersible supply pump Product water delivery system Ozone sterilization U-V sterilization Re-injection pump (for reject stream) System built into a container: Choice of utilities built-in, such as: lighting, electrical outlets, fresh water supply, sink, toilet. Insulation Air conditioning Operator office Storage facilities Diesel power supply for system, or for system with additional electricity available Self-contained system for portability |
