GET BOO & BOOT PROGRAM

For PBCES Power Sale Projects

GET, Inc. offers a BOO (Build Own Operate) and BOOT (Build Own Operate Transfer) program for PBCES electrical power sale projects of at least 40 MW per hour. For island & smaller communities, projects as small as 10 MW may be developed. We have arranged many Billions of US Dollars for this program.

The program is designed to provide electrical power production for municipal use or for large industrial users.  The customer, usually a government entity or large industrial company, does not have to provide the substantial capital outlay normally required for such plants.  Instead, they contract with GET, Inc. and/or our investor group to purchase a specified minimum daily quantity of electrical power.  The contract is usually long-term, of 25-30 years or more.  Shorter term contracts usually result in a higher selling price for the power.

Some of the requirements for this program are as follows: 1) The contract must be acceptable to our funding source. 2) The contract must be supported by an acceptable financial instrument from an A-1 or P-1 rated bank, such as revolving LC, a standby LC, or another instrument acceptable to our funding source. 3) Some local equity participation is required. Other requirements may vary from project to project.

Desalination may often be added to the power supply project, with similar terms & conditions.  Usually, land is provided by the customer.  Civil works, construction, installation, intake, outfall, and product water/power delivery and/or distribution may be handled by either party.  Of course, these things affect the water/power selling price.
