Disaster Relief & Emergency Product Summary
GETTM offers a complete line of seawater desalinators designed to provide very high quality drinking water from available seawater. These systems are available in sizes from 200 Gallons (1 metric ton) to several hundred million gallons (1,500,000 Tons) per day, built to order from standard or custom designs. These systems are used to provide a dependable source of quality drinking water from the sea. GET designs are highly efficient and extremely reliable. The combination of high efficiency and very low maintenance, plus energy recovery on many models, produces the lowest possible cost per unit of water. GET has prepared special desalination systems to effectively treat seawater with increased turbidity and bacterial content resulting from disaster situations. GET is prepared to rush deliveries to meet critical life support needs for small and medium sized systems. Small portable gasoline engine driven systems are available to produce drinking water in areas without electricity. Medium sized systems can be diesel engine driven or can be supported by generators supplied by GET or by others. GET usually provides the fastest delivery available anywhere.
River or Surface Water Purifiers SWPS GET manufactures a full line of river or surface water purifiers from very small portable systems to systems capable of supplying very large cities with high quality potable water exceeding all international standards. GET SWPS, Surface Water Purification Systems, are designed to effectively and economically remove debris, silt, turbidity, parasites, bacteria, viruses, and other suspended contaminants from typical surface water, providing clear, clean, sterilized, healthful water for human consumption. If removal of heavy metals, pesticides, poisons or other chemicals, or excess minerals is required, GET can add the appropriate treatments to produce superior quality water. Smaller systems can be produced and shipped very quickly. GET has standard models that include dispensing equipment to make water distribution in emergency situations quick and easy. GET also has a range of gravity filters that are very economical and quick to produce that can be very effective in producing healthful drinking water from water containing turbidity, parasites & pathogens.
Comprehensive Water Purification Systems CWPSGET designs and manufactures standard and custom multi-stage water treatment systems for emergency use. These systems include everything needed supplying the best quality in drinking water, featuring superior taste and assured quality. GET can make these systems for producing ample high quality drinking water from most any source. Standard designs are for city or well water, and modified designs can accommodate dirty or contaminated sources, even higher salinity sources, with the product water being of premium bottled water standards. Dispensing stations can be added to these systems. GET can produce these systems quickly for emergency requirements.
Comprehensive Water Purification Systems for Surface Water CWPS-SGET designs and manufactures standard and custom multi-stage water treatment systems for emergency use. These systems include everything needed supplying the best quality in drinking water, featuring superior taste and assured quality. GET can make these systems for producing ample high quality drinking water from most any source. Standard designs are for surface water including river, lake or pond water or standing water from flooding with no more than 1000 PPM total dissolved solids, and modified designs can accommodate higher salinity sources, with the product water being of premium bottled water standards. Dispensing stations can be added to these systems. GET can produce these systems quickly for emergency requirements. GET provides a complete range of water bottling systems for producing premium quality water from city water, well water, brackish water, etc. GET manufactures small bottle lines and systems for bottling in 3-6 gallon (11-23 liter) bottles for bulk delivery. GET also makes systems for packaging water in plastic pouches (500 or 600 ml), in very economical plastic cups (500, 600, or 750 ml), or bag in a box of 2-12 liters. GET packaging equipment can be combined with any type of water purification systems, including sterilization by ozone or UV, and containerized or skid mounted for rapid deployment to disaster areas. These water bottling & packaging systems can be of tremendous help in preparing drinking water for distribution in isolated areas. Transporting water great distances is very costly and often logistically problematic. With GET water packaging systems and GET water purification systems installed on site, effective, timely production and distribution of life-saving high quality water can be accomplished with greatly reduced cost and logistical challenges.
GET makes brackish water purifiers from standard or custom designs for applications requiring from 75 gallons (284 liters) to 30 million gallons (over 100,000 cubic meters) or more per day of high quality drinking water from available brackish water. These systems, in standard or custom designs, can be supplied for emergency use and disaster relief requirements. GET can modify these systems to remove high turbidity and bacterial loads typically encountered in disaster situations. Small and medium sized systems can be built very quickly, in gasoline, diesel and electric powered versions. Larger systems for long-term relief can be produced with faster than usual delivery times.
Custom Water PurificationGET engineers have the complete solution to your water needs. When it comes to filtration, sterilization, separation, or purification of any kind, look to GET to provide the answer. We know how to apply membrane, filtration, sterilization and other technologies to make your water problems a thing of the past. Just ask us. Containerized SystemsGET engineers can produce any type of GET equipment in containers for easy mobility and fast installation on site. These systems can be equipped with generators and fuel tanks for a complete self-contained solution to your emergency water needs. GET has designs for containerized shower facilities that recycle the water to provide hygiene for victims of disasters and those in refugee camps, squatter camps, or other situations with similar needs. A 40’ container would be fitted with men’s showers on one end, women’s showers on the other, with water recycling equipment in the center. Containerized toilet facilities with a sewage treatment plant installed can also be built by GET. Any of our water treatment systems and any type of water packaging equipment can be containerized for easy mobility and quick installation and startup. Combination systems can also be containerized, with the water treatment and water dispensing and/or packaging equipment already installed & tested.
Ozone & UV Water SterilizersGET manufactures ozone water sterilizers, and provides water sterilization via UV or chlorine as well. Emergency systems will typically incorporate multiple technologies, including one or more forms of sterilization, to ensure safe, healthful potable water. Ozone is always recommended for any bottling or packaging operation. For distribution through a piping system, chlorine is usually recommended. UV (Ultra Violet) sterilization is effective for sterilizing water that will be consumed shortly after treatment without use of a distribution system. One of these forms of sterilization should always be included with any system prepared for disaster relief. GET will be happy to recommend the best choice for your application.
Emergency DeliveriesGET has a demonstrated track record of extraordinarily fast response to fill emergency water system requirements. For example, two 25,000 GPD Seawater Desalination Plants, normally each requiring 8-10 weeks to build, were completed and shipped in about one week to fill an urgent need in the Pacific. In another emergency, a 25,000 GPD plant and a 4,000 GPD plant were also supplied in about one week for shipment by air, even though the larger plant had to be specially reduced in size to fit in available aircraft. GET engineers have also designed, constructed and supplied multi-stage water treatment systems for mobile UN teams working in difficult environments. GET provided three 10 TPD Seawater Desalinators customized to handle higher turbidity and bacterial content, with diesel generators, for emergency Tsunami relief in the Maldives in about one week. GET is providing emergency delivery of 200 low cost gravity filters for emergency Tsunami relief in Indonesia.
