GET drinking water filters remove
sediment, turbidity (cloudiness), and unpleasant tastes and odors from drinking water.
Pesticides, chlorine, organics and microscopic pathogens are also removed, including the
hazardous Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts common to surface water in most areas of the
world. Dangerous parasites are removed as well.
These premium quality drinking
water filters can be used in restaurants, hotels, homes, food processing plants,
businesses of various types, and as pretreatment for bottled water plants. Water bottling
plants will also require the use of Ozone for sterilization. These filters can purify city
water, well water, lake water, river water, and water from other sources. When treating
surface water, additional sterilization is recommended, such as UV, Ozone or chlorine.
These filters are available in
single-stage, two-stage and three-stage systems. The system pictured above is a two-stage
filter rated at 10 GPM (38 LPM). Single stage systems have the appropriate size 0.5µ
carbon block filter which removes chlorine, pesticides and organics, as well as bacterial
pathogens and dangerous cysts. Two stage filters, which also include a high quality 1
micron sediment filter, are advised when sediment and other suspended solids are present,
in order to extend the life of the carbon block filter. When sediment and suspended solids
levels are higher, a third stage, including a high quality 5 micron filter cartridge is
recommended. When unfiltered surface water, such as pond, lake or river water is to be
treated, a back-washable multi-media filter is recommended ahead of a two-stage or
three-stage GET drinking water filtration system.
GET
drinking water filters include corrosion-resistant powder coated or stainless steel
brackets for wall mounting (floor mount for high flow rate systems), and a filter wrench
to make cartridge changes very easy. All materials and components are of high quality for
